Dark Hedges Estate offers a peaceful and scenic setting, with beautifully maintained grounds and charming surroundings. It’s a great spot for a quiet walk or to soak in the atmosphere away from the more crowded tourist areas. The estate has a nice blend of history and natural beauty, and the connection to the famous Dark Hedges adds an extra layer of interest.

Please bring a picnic with you when you come to visit the Dark Hedges as there's is no places to get food. There is a cafe but there's not much at it just snacks. My advice is to bring drinks and food. In Bushmills Town at the square there is Lorn's Kitchen and the food is delicious and tasty. I had a Sirloin Steak and it was so good.

A beautiful and peaceful place to visit! Dark Hedges Estate is truly a lovely spot, especially if you enjoy nature and a bit of history. The tree-lined avenue is stunning and feels almost magical in person. It’s a great place for a walk, photos, or just soaking in the calm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Nice walk for half an hour, late afternoon, between magic threes. I would recommend it as a cost-free place to visit and have a romantic picture with the 300 years old robust beech threes.

If you want to go and JUST SEE THE DARK HEDGES, keep reading. If you want to go walk the farm and see the shops, skip the rest of this review. When you park at the visitor area you will be pointed towards shops and restaurants and to walk the grounds of a big estate house, all of which are lovely, but not necessary to see the Dark Hedges. Don't get me wrong... the estate and shops are lovely and quaint and the farmers do a good job, but not integral to the Dark Hedges. In fact, as you walk the trail through the estate, the trail eventually leads you to the main road and you cross the road on foot to the private road of the Dark Hedges. The private road is marked with a few signs telling you not to enter, only for private residents. But, we parked there on the side of the street quickly and walked down the street, snapped pictures, and went on with our countryside tour. I feel bad for the residents of this street. This brings a lot of traffic to the area, and the toilets for the visitor center are only open during some hours. So people have resorted to using the bathroom on the side of the dark hedges road. When I was there the side of the road had no less than three spots where people had made a poo and left toilet paper all over. It was gross and those people don't deserve it.

An amazing photo-op for an elopement! We were so lucky to visit on a quiet weekday in February. Imagine it gets very busy in the summer.
